WARRENBY GUNDOGS CONFIDENCE BOOSTER

When it comes to the subject of Gundog competitions, perhaps the biggest issue is the confidence of the (dog) handler.

When I began training, I had a dog that was virtually wild and I had no experience whatsoever of formal gundog competitions or training. I had owned Gundog breeds for many years, but hadn't had such a dominant and unruly dog from working lines.

When I bought my dog, thinking that I knew everything about the breed, it quickly became apparent that I needed help. I contacted Andrew Farley of Warrenby Gundogs and began formal training.

After a fairly short period, it was evident that my dog had a lot more ability than me and he was, to put it mildly, a fairly challenging animal.

However, Andrew spotted his potential and suggested that I enter competitions with him. ... My initial reaction was one of horror as I envisaged bumping into 'Old Jim' types who have been working ' Shep ' for years etc etc .

The reality couldn't be more different as Warrenby Gundogs train their pupils and dogs to a standard way beyond that which is usually assessed in UK Working Tests. 

So if you come to us, are prepared to listen to our advice, follow our methods AND put some work in yourself, you can reasonably expect to win or be highly placed .... Look at our results ... People might put one or two results  down to good fortune, but TWO HUNDRED and TWENTY SIX placings since 2008 with fifty eight ( 58 ) first places or Trophy Wins  and THIRTEEN FIELD TRIAL AWARDS have not been won by accident .... they have been won because we at Warrenby Gundogs know what we are talking about and know how to train ALL BREEDS of gundog.
