WARRENBY GUNDOGS BREED INFORMATION

Italian Spinones can be traced back to about 500B.C. and are one of the larger HPR breeds ( Hunt, Point and Retrieve ).

They are a substantial and attractive dog with a tough wiry coat and when properly trained are biddable and very loyal.

They can be docile, affectionate and extremely patient. They form a close bond with their family. 

There are several working lines in the UK today so purchasers should choose carefully after researching the right line for their intended use.

This breed is commonly docked for working purposes.

They are heavy feeders during the hunting season.

Early training is essential as they develop into large and very powerful dogs.

Fully grown, dogs 23 to 27 inches at the withers, bitches 22 to 25 inches. Dogs up to 39 kg.
