HPR World Championships 2008 & 2010
Warrenby Gundogs are incredibly proud to have represented Great Britain in both the 2008 and 2010 German Shorthaired Pointer World Championships.
Both Emma & Andrew competed in the 2010 World Championships in Holland. Again the Great Britain Team performed well against a very competitive field.
On this occasion, Andrew competed Sanjon Atilla, but was unlucky not to have any game on his runs. However, he was pleased with Sanjon Atilla's overall performance. |
In October 2008, Andrew Farley and Emma Carter of Warrenby Gundogs represented Great Britain at the German Shorthaired Pointer World Championships held in France (Championnat Du Monde Des Braques Allemands Sur Gibier Tire, Prix D'Excellence).
Both dogs and handlers performed excellently. Andrew Farley competed with his German Shorthaired Pointer Sanjon Ariel at Warrenby AKA Milo. Milo was only 18 months at the time of competition, a fantastic achievement for a dog so young and he was a credit to both Andrew and his breeder Jon Roberts who also competed (below, middle). Emma competed with Warrenby Gundogs’ Sanjon Atilla at Warrenby AKA Jake (GSP). Sanjon Atilla at Warrenby, was qualified with a Good in the World Championship and at the show was graded as Excellent. Emma was more fortunate and with Sanjon Breana AKA Storm she was awarded 7th place in the Individual Championship. Sanjon Breana was also graded as "Very Good". An excellent result and a wonderful experience for both our handlers!
These events involve considerable expense with several dogs being transported over huge distances. Warrenby Gundogs receive no funding for this, so if you would like to sponsor our attendance, at least in part, please Contact Us. As a sponsor of the Warrenby Gundogs' Team, the commercial potential is considerable. Remember, we represent Great Britain and march in the international parade with the Union Flag to the accompaniment of the National Anthem. |
